IIBS Kolkata Campus organized the MBA Fresher's Party 2018 to give freshmen a taste of campus fun.  It generally happens after a few days of the beginning of college of the first year. MBA Batch 2017 of IIBS Kolkata welcomed the Batch 2018 on 12th Dec 2018 through the Freshco. The theme of the Freshco was Bollywood and the students were dressed in the Bollywood style.


The programme constituted of solo dance and group dance of Bollywood songs along with the comedy skit and recitations. Some fun games were also conducted by the students adding more glitter to the party.


Snacks and refreshments were arranged by the MBA students. The whole objective of the programme was to pass the torch of success, development etc from the seniors to the juniors.


This was a wonderful platform for showcasing their talents and socialization between the two batches. The whole programme was funded, organized and designed by the students of Batch 2017 demonstrating their learned management skills and also setting examples as role models to the juniors.


The programme ended with a bang with the ramp walk by both the groups and thereby, identifying Miss and Mr Fresher based on their performance, participation and attire. Both the group of students demonstrated their team management and leadership skills through this programme.
The faculty and the staff were also present in the function for encouraging and motivating them.

IIBS Students Visit the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2018


IIBS Noida Strongly believe in all round Learning ,With Aim to go beyond Academics, Market visit and Industrial visit exposure provide practical perspective to learn practically through exposure and interaction about business product development, test marketing and Trade Promotion. MBA S18 Batch of IIBS Noida visited International trade fair 2018 organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. India International Trade Fair (IITF) Trade air. The multi products industry 14 day event." with B2B and B2C components is one of India's largest integrated trade fairs. IITF provide an opportunity to visitors and exhibitors, to explore their objectives in the dimensions of Business, Social, Cultural, and Educational.


The trade fair held at Pragati Maidan was the 38th edition being inaugurated be Mr.C.R.ChaudharyMinister of State for commerce and Industry. The event started from 14th November and concluded on 28th November, 2018 and marks a special significance as it is the beginning of 150th birth anniversary celebration of Mahatma Gandhi. It was carried out with the vision of Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas. The central pavilion was set by the Ministry of Rural development. Several pavilions were set up by Government of India Initiatives like, ‘Make In India’, Swachh Bharat, ‘Skill India’. Etc.


The partner country for this international trade fair was The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan; the focus country being Federal Republic of Nepal, the focus state was the state of Jharkhand. About 800 participants from various small and medium enterprise entrepreneurs, government agencies, domestic and international companies participated and made the event a huge success. The participation of foreign countries came up to 17 countries including, Hong Kong, South Korea, Vietnam, UAE, China, Afghanistan. The Government of India had also some Pavilions of HUNAR HAAT in which small business persons and rural artisans took part and showcased their products which attracted a huge crowd.


They observed an overview of the Market, Industry and the latest trends and innovations. They also witnessed the diverse culture of different states in India and also of the other represented countries present there. All together it was a very enriching experience for all.

IIBS Noida MBA 2018 Students at Valedictory Function of Youth

The IIBS students of MBA 2018 Batch invited to attend the Valediction program of Youth for India- an Initiative by SBI Foundation of State Bank of India, Noida for the learning experience and practical exposure of the Social Entrepreneurship. The top executives from the Bank, experts from the Development Sector, representatives from leading CSR firms and NGO officials to be amongst the list of attendees. The event was inaugurated by opening speech Mr Nixon Joseph, President and COO, SBI Foundation, welcoming the guests on the prestigious occasion.

Dr. Pushpendra Rai, Director SBI was the chief guest and Ms. Karnam Malleswari, Olympic medallist was the guest of honour. SBI Youth for India fellowship is a rural fellowship of 13 months for highly educated urban youths to contribute to rural development and come out with innovative and creative solutions to rural issues.



SBI fellows of October Cohort came up with their presentations of their live Project executed in rural India on the major issues broadly covering  Education, Health, Food security, Livelihood, Women empowerment, Social Enterprise, Technology, Traditional crafts, Self-governance, Environment, Alternate Energy & Waste Management.
The SBI YFI fellows were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for their exceptional work towards the development of society. The event concluded with networking dinner at 8:00 pm with the eminent guest.
IIBS Noida students were given opportunity by Develop India Foundation to attend the prestigious learning event. The students were exposed to a different learning and Challenges in the execution of projects with the optimum resource which made them realize the importance of today’s youth in the change & development of the society and empowering nation with Entrepreneurship.

Jhilmil - 2018: A Festival of Light was Celebrated in IIBS Noida

Diwali is the festival of lights and it always gives the message of winning of good over evil and it is celebrated with very much enthusiasm and brings a smile on everyone’s face because it is the festival of everyone.

Jhilmil-2018, the festival of light was celebrated at the IIBS Noida Campus on 01st of November, 2018. The program was started with the Aarti of  Lord Ganesh and Goddess Laxmi by the teachers followed by staff and students of IIBS. 
Ved and Sonali were the anchors for the event. The first performance was a beautiful singing performance by Anisha and Rupali (AU 18 batch). Then it was followed by an energetic dance performance by Kusum and Shivangi (AU 18 batch). The audience were supercharged and enthusiastic after these performances.  
 Bharti and Shivangi (AU 18 batch) also performed a duet dance Foot tapping Bollywood songs. Kusum, Bharti, Shivangi and Sneh (AU 18 batch) performed beautiful solo dance performances. all participated enthusiastically and enjoyed very much. Raghavendra Maurya (S 17 batch) presented three beautiful pieces of poetry. The students of AU 18 also presented a skit carrying the message of protest against girl child marriage and supporting Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Prof. Seema Mishra (Dean) extended warm and safe Diwali Greetings to all the students with message Enjoy the festival of light with everyone and spread happiness in life.

Industrial visit at Anmol Bakers Pvt. Ltd.

 As a part of its Endeavour to help the students gain latest first-hand information regarding the functioning of the Industry and engaging them in active learning experiences outside the classroom, An industrial visit was organized by IIBS Noida for MBA 2018 batch students to Anmol Bakers in Greater Noida on 11th October 2018.
Anmol Bakers Pvt. Ltd stands at 5th position in Indian Ranking amongst biscuits brands. has made a name for itself in the list of top suppliers of Confectionery & Bakery Products, Cookies & Biscuits in India is located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh it is one of the leading sellers of listed.
 The objective of the visit was to expose students to the production process of a FMCG product
Miss Jyoti Jha, HR Executive addressed students and made a detailed presentation along with Production Manager of the Company History, Production, Distribution Network, and Marketing activities
Students learned about challenges and opportunities of a Manufacturing Unit especially the one dealing in a product having a specified/limited shelf life. Students were taken around the plant and were explained about the production and operations process of Anmol Biscuits. Students interacted with the operation staff handling raw material, production, packaging and quality control department. They also went through the process of seeing the lab testing and quality checking of every product that was manufactured.
They also shared feedback and recommendations with the corporate delegates which was much appreciated.
Overall, the visit was enlightening and students gained in terms of operational and management skills required in the Manufacturing process of the Company.
Faculty members Prof. Renu Bharadwaj and Prof. Jigyasa Narang, along with Academic Administrator Mr. Saurabh Kumar accompanied the students to the manufacturing facility. Students participated with a lot of zeal and the visit was a great learning experience for the management students.

A Session on GST - A Game Changer Conducted at IIBS Noida

A session on GST for MBA students was facilitated by Mr. Abhishek Thakur. Who is a CA, CS and CMA founding partner of GSTARK and Associates In his talk, he outlined the importance of GST, Challenges in implementing GST and also the Types of Tax Rates. He mentioned that every citizen wants a civilized society, hence the government collects the tax. He also mentioned the significance of collecting tax in India, unlike some other countries that collect donations.
He highlighted that the major spending of the Government is on Indian Army which protects the nation and hence it becomes our moral responsibility towards tax. The government has a power on a certain portion of the money held by an individual. The current GST structure focuses on “Take it from the have’s and distribute it among the have not’s”. He appreciated the Government in their attempt to wealth re-distribution. While quoting the example of cigarette which falls under a high tax bracket, he mentioned that GST has influenced change in behavior related to sin products/goods.
He also created awareness among the students about how the ignorant are exploited by the learned for Registering to GST. This is a user-friendly process initiated by the Government; however, the agencies are charging high against free registration online for GST.
He walked the students through the various Tax Rates - Nil-Rated, 5%, 12%, 18%, and 28%+cess. The session concluded with Q&A wherein students brought into light the issues faced by them with the implementation of GST and Mr.Abhishek Thakur welcomed any querries and complaints with regards to fraudulent activities that we come across in the name of GST. He concluded his session on Goods and Service Taxes(GST). An emerging opportunity for MBA students.

President of Noida Chapter Tarun Rajput working as Senior Manager at HDFC Bank Limited talked about building career in BFSI sector, Neha Chaudhary IAA Joint Secretary, working as Sr. HR Manager Mahle Behar India Pvt ltd.– emphasized on building Proactive attitude essentials in achieving success, Riyaz Alam associate Secretary working as Principal Consultant Manager NowFloats Technology Pvt Ltd, Neha Solanki  working as Assistant Manager at Mogli labs Pvt Ltd IAA Treasurer, Ashish Patel Senior officer IDFC Bank, shared their enriching Experience . Welcome MBA 2018 Batch Orientation Program at IIBS Noida

Orientation Day for the Opening MBA batch 2018-20 of IIBS Noida Campus. MOM (Management Orientation Month) is mainly focused on the setting the mind-set for the students who have taken admission in MBA with an aspiration to become professionals in the corporate world. A fresh start of a new journey and a new session began on 3rd September 2018 at IIBS, Noida Campus with the inauguration of the orientation programme. The programme began by introducing the new faces to the college campus. The students of BU S-17 Mahima and Ronita hosted the event. The event began with the lighting of the lamp by dignitaries, faculties and students followed by Saraswati Vandana by Raghwendra Maurya (MBA S17) The Guest of Honour for the day Dr.R.K Chopra and Brig.Dr. Sunil Kr. Moudgil was presented with Plants as Token of Respect by Students.

 Prof. Seema Mishra, Dean IIBS Noida Campus welcomed the dignitaries, staff members, and the students. She highlighted the importance of being disciplined and focused for goal achievement and briefed students on expectations of the industry from MBA students.  She also ensured Students for IIBS commitment of Holistic Development of students to face unique competitive Global business challenges,team-based environment where innovative skills and creativity are critical to success. She urged students to actively participate in all academic and Cultural Activities for development and enriching experience.

Brig. Dr. Sunil Kr.Moudgil, an International Master trainer and motivational speaker. He addressed the students and emphasized that for achieving success in the corporate world right attitude of students is necessary. He shared the pearls of wisdom with the students and enthralled the audience with their highly motivational and inspiring words. He also pointed out that students should be equipped with multiskills, desire for learning and positive restlessness for self-improvement...Furthermore, Brief.Moudgil wished the students for their betterment of future.
Dr. Lalna Sangolkar Deputy Director, IIBS Noida Campus in her address stated the role of Management education in the overall development of future managers. She emphasized the necessity of right attitude to handle challenges.
Dr.R K Chopra who has more than 25 years of experience in higher education, training, personality development and promoting ventures.Prof. Chopra has devoted his career to improving educational opportunity and imparting behavioral and leadership skills. He talked and shared the practical fronts of leading a healthy, ethical and effective life. He also shared the mantra of attaining success in the corporate world and the importance of active listening and communication skills.
Ria, Shubham & Alice (Batch by BU S-17) presented informative and Interesting Introduction of IIBS Team Shared the glimpse of events and activities held at IIBS, Noida Campus in the previous year. Everyone Applauded, Video presentation comprising of memories  Captioned Journey so far had spectacular insights into students learning and development at IIBS Noida Campus. Ashish Singh Khwairakpam (S17Batch) Captured all the moments to add further in their journey of learning and Development.
Prof. Renu Bhardwaj gave the vote of thanks acknowledging the contribution of management, staff, and students for making the event successful.
Post Lunch, the interesting ice-breaking session was facilitated by the Dean. Prof Seema Mishra various Interactive Icebreaking activities were conducted by Dean ma’am so that the new students of the fresh batch could get to learn and know more about each other. The students were able to overcome their nervousness and could openly share their views and communicate through these activities.
The program ended with a cultural program aimed to bring all the students from different states and culture together and perform. Students Enjoyed singing and dancing celebrating their beginning of Promising and Progressive Life Ahead.

A Session on Entrepreneurship & Business Plan at IIBS Noida

Through the course Entrepreneurship and Business Plan you will be able to challenge your abilities and acquire useful and sought-after knowledge.The day started with a session by Prof.Renu Bhardwaj She started the session with a very creative introductory session, where students had to introduce themselves in a novel way. This was followed by a discussion on The Self, one’s desires, dreams, passions, and motivations. Students were told how important their dreams and desires are for developing the personality. It was stressed that they need to have a passion in life. Students were also given tips on how to increase their self-esteem. They were also encouraged to be optimistic and to have a positive approach to everything in life. Most importantly, it was emphasized that they should love themselves and never lose confidence.


Then it was followed with a session by Ms.Sarita Chauhan, Founder of  EVOKE Inspiring Lives & Redefine Skills & Learning Pvt Ltd ,Winner of Women Excellence Awards 2018 by WEF and felicitated twice by Govt of India Former Employee, CII, FICCI, Srei, NIESBUD She is a TEDEX Speaker , and business power coach known for her exemplary contribution in Start to Scale and small to big Business Success journey of her clients benefited from her business consulting and training). She has the unique art of sculpting entrepreneurial mindset, making people write groundbreaking business plans, designing business strategies that work 100% every time and driving businesses towards profitability.
Her session on Business Planning and Entrepreneur Spirit was comprised of many activities which were based on personal and societal judgments, building confidence and knowing their own capabilities.
Another session was facilitated by Ms. Shivani Jha, She has been responsible for building a collaborative environment for the co-workers around by helping them get connected to relevant mentors and organizing various meetups. Presently, as a Senior Community Manager  Of Springboards, she is majorly working along with her team on building WE League Community which is a diverse community of Entrepreneurs which thrives to empower and build the strong community of innovators. She along with her team members Simran and Rashmi guided and let the students know about marketing and encourage the students with the strong motivational session on Networking and Building Net worth.
